Miss Mist is the Avatar of Grief. When there was sufficient need for her in the dawning of mankind, she was made. Since then she’s grown a real personality and existence. She with a handful of other Reapers formed the Union in order to protect and guide other Psychopomps. She is known as the Eternal Widow.

In Classic, she is President of the Union. In the early days, she was scarred by a fellow Union Founder, Cessair and wears her glamoured veil over it. This is not a well-known fact. She is patient and knowledgeable, eager to help any Reaper that requires aid. She is in a relationship with Sigrunn.

In District, Jana Nebel is a German immigrant working as a Death Doula and is a registered nurse. She lives in Jonesport in a townhouse with her wife, Sigrunn.

In 4th gen, Miss Mist is still the President of the Union. However, she is less corporeal than in previous incarnations and often manifests as mist itself. Under her veil is more water vapor.

Jocasta is a wild woman, a Maenad (“the raving ones”) followers of Dionysus/Bacchus.

In Classic, her soul was rescued from the Underworld after she died in ancient Rome. He made his Godservant and reaper. Her charges are those who die in complete ecstasy. She is dating the elf Astaria and has an off-again-on-again relationship with Hewbert and Loki. Bacchus bestowed on her the divine gift of Desire.

In District, Jocasta Wolf is a liquor store clerk who lives with her beloved half-sister, Constance. She is seeing Tikhon and secretly carries on with Rex, her boss.

In 4th Gen, Jocasta is the high priestess holding together and protecting the cult in Bacchus’ absence. She has the divine gift of Desire, one of four such gifts from the God of Wine.
